The bacon in your oven will be cooked evenly and slowly.
No more sizzling or splattering, just nice crispiness on all sides that makes for easy cleanup!
The oven does an excellent job at ensuring even browning while giving off minimal heat exposure.
To make awesomely baked bacon at home I’ve put together these simple steps:
1) To get started, you will need to preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit;
2) Line baking sheet with foil or parchment paper;
3) Lay bacon strips on prepared pan, not touching each other;
4) Place pan in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes until desired crispness.
How do I make Bacon extra crispy?
For extra crispy bacon, flip halfway through cooking time until desired crispness is reached!
That’s it!
* The oven baked bacon will not shrink or curl up.
* Do not place the pan next to any other pans in the oven since it may cause warping of your baking sheet.
* When you are finished cooking, remove from the oven and transfer oven baked bacon strips onto paper towels so they can drain excess grease. You can save this grease for other recipes that call for it, such as salad dressing.
Rack or no rack?
You can also use a cooling rack and lay the bacon on top of it to further drain any excess grease.
This method will produce an extra crispy strip of bacon.
Now you can enjoy this delicious treat with no effort. Yum yum! Some people like to eat their baked bacon slices cold or straight out of the fridge so they can get a nice crunchy texture.
